I was surprised a couple of months ago when I came across a review on another blog of some fashion items from Avon.  I had no idea Avon did fashion, and the word “Avon” to me still conjured up memories of a million sample lipsticks in my Grandma’s bathroom.

So, when I also agreed to do a review for Avon, I was very curious about what I would find when I opened the box they sent me.  And I was pleasantly surprised to find the dress pictured above, “Green with Envy“.  It’s a light woven cotton, but fancy enough for an evening out at a nice restaurant. The keyhole at the neck and the detailing under the bust make it flirty and fun as well.  And it’s comfortable!  The A-line skirt widens from the waist and skims over my stomach – nicely covering up my biggest problem area.  I felt really pretty in the dress and I can’t wait to have an excuse to wear it!

I also received two pieces from Avon’s fashion jewelry collection to review – the Coral Colored Cabachon ring & bangle bracelet.

While these pieces are a little brighter and bolder than what I usually wear, I thought they were really fun and fun to wear!  And they looked great with the dress.  They encouraged me to expand my horizons when it comes to accessories.
