I have a pretty simple policy for using sunscreen: Apply often, apply liberally, and then reapply often. However, sometimes, despite my best intentions, a day in the sun turns into my nose giving Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer’s a run for his money. While I love a fresh, natural look I do not love the bright red sunburned face look.
Enter the Jillian Dempsey for Avon Personal Corrector Palette. Available in two palettes (Light and Dark), each corrector palette contains four different shades to correct a myriad of skin care concerns.
When you’ve had a bit too much time in the sun, though, the yellow concealer is great for helping to neutralize that redness and toning down that “I spent all day on the beach” look. Using the little applicator brush (included with the Avon palette), gently apply concealer to the affected area before covering with your normal makeup.
For me, in summer time, my normal makeup is a tinted moisturizer. After applying the yellow concealer on my nose and applying my tinted moisturizer as usual, it toned down the startling appearance of sunburn.
The yellow concealing portion of the palette is also great for camouflaging those dark circles (excellent for those of us who might not be getting our full eight hours of sleep!). The palette also includes pink (also great for hiding those dark circles), apricot (brightens a yellow complexion), and lilac (to give your skin a healthy glow).
This concealer palette is an excellent addition to my makeup bag: it’s easy to use, affordable, and makes my face look rested (even when I’m really not!).
