Come to ME and rest. I am all about you, to bless and restore. Breathe Me in with each new breath. Slow down and cling tightly to My hand. Lift up empty hands of faith to receive My precious Presence. Light, Life, Joy and Peace flow freely through this gift. – Sarah Young, Jesus is Calling
Ever have the wind knocked out of you? No matter how the blow is delivered, you’re left feeling stunned, pain-ridden and simply at a loss for words–or breath. You stagger aimlessly trying to get your bearings, to regain some semblance of composure and dignity. You grab at the wall. You grasp for the table or anything that seems like it could restore balance and sanity to your situation. You fail.
The pain from the blow sends you reeling. Your eyes sting. Your emotions flare. You feel angry, perhaps a little embarrassed, or maybe even heartbroken. You’ve fallen and you can’t get up. You’re ashamed, but you don’t have to be.
One of the most poignant things about God is that no matter what life throws at us, no matter how many blows send us spiraling off course, He is always there to pick us up. The Master is always there, waiting with open arms to wipe our tears, mend our wounds and love us wholly without condition. The best part? He’ll meet us right where we are.
Been knocked on your bum? God is there. Are you reeling from the blows of unemployment, unfavorable diagnosis from the doctor or loss of a dream? God is there. He is all about you waiting for you to breathe in His presence and receive the gifts of life, joy, light and peace. All you have to do is trust Him. One. Two. Three. Leap!
