“Be not afraid.“
Over 50 times in Scripture we see this admonition, these words of comfort.
In life we say them to our children when nightmares occur, to our friends when life seems too big, to ourselves when insecurity and uncertainty prevail.
In our hearts, though, there is a Voice that whispers, tenderly and gently, to our very depths, “Be not afraid.“ Recognizing our struggle, knowing our pain.
The battle is waging, the enemy strong … “Be not afraid.”
The consequences are huge, the guilt overwhelming … “Be not afraid.”
The loss is profound, the grief exhausting … “Be not afraid.”
The promise is amazing, the truth unbelievable … “Be not afraid.”
A calling to choose joy, to trust in the guiding presence of the All-Powerful.
A reminder of Whose we are and what He has done.
“Be not afraid.”
What fears have you entrusted to the Lord?
