The wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow on the string that they may shoot secretly at the upright in heart. If the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do? ~ Psalms 11: 2-3

Despair on every side. Angst, anxiety and betrayal are in the air. You’re being plotted against. You’re emotionally and physically drained. Maybe you’re a believer. Maybe not. But you’re tired, angry, frustrated and spent. You–we– are damsels in distress. What CAN the righteous do? The Lord’s answer is simple:

The Lord IS in His Holy Temple…

The Master, the Lover of you and I, is IN His holy temple! When hope feels lost and rage feels right, the Lord is always in His holy temple; and do you know where His holy temple is? It’s in YOU!

Do you not know that YOU are the temple of God? ~ 1 Corinthians 3:16

You are the temple of the Lord!! So when the people are asking what can the righteous do? The Lord’s answer is this: remember where I am; remember where I live. I’m always in and I never fail.

When circumstances become more than we can bear and the only light we see seems skewed and dingy, look to the Lord because He’s always in. He never calls in sick and He’s never asleep on the job. Remember, when life gives us its worst, God is always present to bring restoration, peace and order–you are never alone.
