My daughter Isabelle is one of the most extremely extroverted persons I have ever known. People are her life-fuel. She gets so lonely and bored when all the kids in the neighborhood are at school and Mommy has work to do.
Belle has a whole world of imaginary friends, both good and evil that she plays with day and night.
One day at the end of winter it was sunny and almost warm outside, so she went out on the driveway to draw with her brand new chalk and slew of imaginary people. After a while, I went to check on her. I watched quietly as I observed her throwing her brand new chalk up in the air and watching it crack on the sidewalk. “What are you doing?” I asked her.
“I’m throwing my chalk up to God so at least He will color with me.“
I asked her what would happen if He actually caught it. “Play with Him”, she said, as if I had asked the dumbest question ever.
I wonder what He would have drawn?

What a sweet little child. My daughter is the same way. She craves attention. Maybe I can get her to play with God:-)
Did you see what we created in chalk on my blog today?
Isnt it awesome how your daughter almost expected it to happen. That’s a great reminder about how we should expect things of God too! Thanks for sharing Michelle.
I love it! I love that she has imaginary friends, and I love that she so easily and willingly plays (communes?) with God.
