Even if you didn’t receive that iPhone or Kindle 2 you wanted this year, you can always make your own list and shop for yourself in the new year. Here are my top picks for techno gifts to give yourself in 2010.
The PowerMat Wireless Charging Station

I hate cords. All those cords and plugs and power strips dangling all over my counter. Last year we tried the nifty little box that hid the power strip… but those cords! They still take over. I did not receive this fabulous invention but I will be buying one this year. It will improve my sanity. $99.99 is not too high a price to pay for sanity ( and a clear counter).
The Kindle 2

I am almost there… almost. The lure of over 390,000 books and being able to carry 1500 of them at a time in a device small enough to slip in my purse is intoxicating to this avid book reader. And I can get blogs and wikis on it too! Did you get one this year? I’d love to hear your opinion in the comments.
nuvi ® 1200 by Garmin
I get lost. I was sadly born without an innate sense of navigation. I am sure I am among the last car owners to still not have one of these, but if I do get one in 2010 the nuvi 1200 is my pick. The smallest and least expensive ($169.99) of Garmin nuvi models, it gives accurate turn by turn directions and has something called ecoroute which will calculate the route that will save you the most gas and wear on your car. With a 5+ year old mini-van, that would come in handy!
LG BD300 Network Blu-ray Disc Player
At $129.95 this is moving into my price range and will be the next disc player we purchase. Newer models are out now too that allow you to stream from YouTube and other online sources. Friends have told me I can use my computer for this too, but for a not too tech savvy mom who just needs to be able to plug something in and have it work out of the box, this is a great option for us.
Did you have a techno Bliss experience this Holiday? Is there a gadget out there that would make my life easier? Tell me in the comments. What is the MUST HAVE gadget in 2010?

I am not technology mad, but my husband loves gadgets and is always on the hunt for the latest and greatest. He got me a kindle and I liked it (http://www.se7en.org.za/2009/11/08/saturday-spot-the-kindle) a month or two down the line and I totally and absolutely love it – couldn’t want to live without it!!! The biggest plus is that I can carry about twenty different books around in my bag and wherever I am I can choose from a bookcase of books to read what ever I am in the mood for. A magazine article, a classic, an old favorite, a bestseller… all at my finger tips… I just love it, can you tell!!!
