Blissfully Domestic founder, Alli Worthington and One2One Network founder, Barbara Jones partnered together a few years ago to form the BlissDom women’s blogging conference. Each year the conference has increased in size and scope. And last month, the first BlissDom Canada was held in Toronto.
BlissDom ’11 will be held January 26-29 in Nashville, TN at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel. There will be one day of Wisdom Workshops and two days of conference sessions and activities. Then on the 29th, there will be time for all sorts of activities from a photowalk, to hanging out with your new friends, to impromptu teaching sessions.
If you’re not sure whether or not BlissDom is for you, I’ll let some of our editors describe their experiences for you.
Rachel (Food editor):
My mom has these friends, she’s known them her whole life, they can be separated by miles and years and the moment they’re in the room together… they pick up a conversation that never ended, as if years, miles and lives had never changed, passed or altered.
That is what I experience with those friends who know my heart, who read my words and I theirs.
We have changed the landscape because although our physical selves are separated by hundreds if not thousands of miles, our hearts are but a beat apart. Our words and pictures sharing and bypassing all preconceived rituals and notions.
Sarah (Book editor):
I follow a lot of people on Twitter. I read their tweets and their blogs and comment on their Facebook status updates. I know their lives by their words – and then suddenly, so many of those people are under one roof and it’s kind of an awesome thing. You see someone across the room and think, “Hey, that person looks familiar” – check out their name tag, and when it hits you that the person standing in front of you is @WhoeverThatPersonMightBeInThisInstant, it’s a rush – a huge sensation of, “You’re REALLY here.” Suddenly, imaginary internet people become very real. The moment when someone goes from “that person who blogs” to “the woman I shared caramel corn with” or “the one who rocked out on karaoke” or “the one that made me laugh so hard my abs hurt” – THAT MOMENT is why I’m here.
Kat (Music editor):
You can sit in a room surrounded by great women and NOT feel inferior or out of place.
You can be the only one able (or just plain silly enough) to do the tootsie roll at the dance par-tay and everyone stilled loved you in the morning.
You can cry about leaving new friends just as much as leaving the old ones.
You can learn about yourself as a woman, writer, dreamer and mother.
Angela (Editor-In-Chief)
I’ve spent an amazing three days at Blissdom conference this past month meeting and connecting and reconnecting with my amazing women blogging friends and it’s made me remember one of the things I love about blogging. It has permanence. It lasts.
But when I blog, I can have confidence that the little piece of my heart that I share with you will have a future. It will last. Even if this post isn’t read today, right now this second. It will be. Read and enjoyed, maybe commented on.
Linda (Technology editor)
Truth is, it is what we gain from others, from the people with whom we interact that truly makes Blissdom unique, engaging and worthwhile.
It’s my heart that is full of the love and wisdom and knowledge that you – YOU – are not just another face, but a person with whom I have connected. Maybe we had met before, maybe we met today, maybe we just saw each other and *meant to get over and say hi* but we will have this experience in common.
Are you convinced? Do you want to go? Well, here’s the really good part. One2One Network is giving away THREE full conference passes (that’s Wisdom Workshops AND conference registration). And not only are they doing that but there is a prize that includes 2 nights in the Opryland Hotel and a GRAND prize that includes 3 nights and travel expenses up to $500!!!
How do you enter? You click over here and follow the very simple guidelines.
Good luck and we hope to see you at BlissDom ’11! Remember, early bird pricing lasts until the end of November, so if you don’t get one of those tickets, you can still get in on the best rates!

I MISS y’all!!!
I can’t wait for Blissdom 2011. SO ready to be hugging and laughing and crying and eating and taking pictures and just being with my family.
<3
I hated missing it last year! (And probably this year too since my husband seems to think we need a dining room table more than I need to attend a conference. Heh.)
Malia – please put a tear jerker warning at the top of posts like these! Man… who hid the tissues!
Can’t wait to squeeze y’all soon!!
I am a relatively new blogger so it would be a dream come to win the Blissdom ’11 trip giveaway!
Going to have to turn off twitter during Blissdom this year – oh, wait… I’ll be tweeting from the delivery room again – never mind. I will be missing everyone!!! Wish I could have someone else deliver the baby so I could be there. LOL
