If you blog, you probably know lots about social networking sites and how great they are for getting to know other bloggers. You may have even made some friends through your adventures in the blogosphere. But have you considered collaborating with another blogger on a project?
Collaboration may be the next logical step for some of you. If you have an idea that you think would really take off, but you’re overwhelmed with the thought of doing it by yourself, why not consider approaching one of your blogging buddies to go in on it with you?
I’ve interviewed lots of mom bloggers about their blogging experience and how it’s changed their lives. So many of these women have expressed the impact the blogging community has had on them.
Here are just some examples of the wonderful things that can come out of the collaboration of bloggers.
Cool Mom Picks is an awesome site where moms find some of the best products to meet the needs of moms. They do the work so you don’t have to. Cool Mom Picks was founded by Kristen Chase of Motherhood Uncensored and Liz Gumbinner of Mom-101 and has a large contributing team of editors from all around the blogosphere.
Blog Nosh Magazine was founded by Megan Jordan of Velveteen Mind, and she recruited her pal, Jennifer Doyle of Playgroups Are No Place for Children to be her managing editor. Head to Blog Nosh to find hidden gems among the many blog posts on the internet. Megan’s team of channel editors hunts down fabulous posts in their niche for inclusion on Blog Nosh.
MamaPop is a pop culture blog for parents. What a cool idea! It was developed by Tracey Gaughran-Perez of the blog, Sweetney, and Amy Storch of Amalah.
These are just three examples of what can come of a stellar blogger collaboration. I could go on and on. Take these examples as the motivation you need to go for the collaborative project you’ve been brainstorming. Who knows, maybe you’ll even come up with the next Blissfully Domestic. Our own Mrs. Fussypants, Allison Worthington, is the queen of collaboration. Just look at how she’s brought over 200 writers together to create this incredible online magazine.
Mary Davis can be found blogging at her own blogs Everyday Baby Steps and Adventures in Freelancing, but she loves contributing and collaborating all over the blogosphere.

Thanks for including Cool Mom Picks, Mary. Indeed, we could never do what we do without the amazing bloggers who help contribute. It also makes it a little easier to go on vacation once in a while!
Sure thing, Liz! Cool Mom Picks is awesome. I’m sure it is nice to work with a great team. You guys are inspiring.
