Whether you’re a PC user or a Mac user, you need to install Firefox as your browser of choice. Search around the web for reviews and you’ll find tons of information supporting the use of Firefox over Internet Explorer or Safari. In my opinion, one of the best reasons to make the switch is the ability to customize your browsing experience with add-ons. Firefox Add-ons are "small pieces of software that can add new features or tiny tweaks to your Firefox." And they totally rock. Today I’ll be focusing on productivity: Using your browser to get things done faster.
Let’s talk about research. How many times have you been searching for something, comparing products, or collecting research and you end up with a handful of bookmarked web sites but no way to note exactly what on each site you found interesting? There are several really cool add-ons that can help:
- Scrapbook: Save web pages or snippets of web pages and organize them into collections that can be filtered, searched and/or edited.
- Diigo: Highlight and add sticky notes to any page and they’ll be there when you return to the site. See your notes on any computer connected to the internet.
- Notefish: Save sections of web pages into "notes" that you can move, organize, change color, and share with others.
There’s so much more you can do with Firefox. You can customize the theme ("skin") of your browser, set up macros to automate repetitive tasks at the touch of a button, and, of course, install all those cool little toolbar buttons to make your feed reading, Stumbling, Digging, Clipmarking, and Del.icio.us-ing a bit easier!
Check out Firefox and see what YOU can get done faster.

I love Firefox. And I’ve made use of many of the add-ons. I wasn’t aware of these though!
Thanks!
