We at Blissfully Domestic are thrilled to bring you this amazing giveaway from Intel: The Intel Atom Processor-powered Classmate PC Netbook. This is an awesome tool that allows your child to integrate a PC with every area of his or her education – just as we as adults use computers for almost 100% of our work in an office setting.
Intel sent me a Classmate PC to review so I could tell you all about its features. The first thing I HAD to try out was the screen that converts to a writing tablet. It was super-easy to convert and use. And – its internal sensor automatically orients the screen to whichever way you have it turned! (So great for kids!!) I love that the stylus and tablet can be used to write notes, work out math problem, draw pictures – whatever the kiddos would normally use “scratch paper” to do! And the touchscreen is GREAT for little fingers, and works amazingly well!
The Classmate PC is designed to handle whatever kiddos can throw at it - it is tough, durable, water-resistant, and more shock-resistant than your average netbook or laptop. Of course, the Classmate PC also has wireless internet capability. And? It has a built-in camera that will swivel 180 degrees, programs for art, (the ArtRage program is AWESOME!) and reading, and a program to read electronic books on (how awesome would it be to have all your kid’s textbooks on their computer!? I have to say, my family and I have really, really, REALLY enjoyed the Classmate PC. My 5-year-old loves playing computer games and even he is not too young for this netbook. OK, the writing tablet feature is awesome! It would be great to have a way to take notes on my computer that allowed me to draw pictures next to the text as well. I wouldn’t need to bring a scratch pad with me!

I love that its easy to carry , my son has has special needs so it must adaptive to his needs . M y son wants a laptop so he can use it when he goes to college.
Having 4 grandchildren that like to use the computer, this would be ideal for them! The touch screen is an added plus for any family with children.

The screen in itself excites me as I’ve had problems in the past with the screen of my laptop detaching from the keyboard! It looks very convenient to use… not to mention, I write EVERYTHING down and would rather not kill trees in doing so! The tablet and stylus intrigue me! I have a seven year old who’s dying for a lap top, I have to admit he’s a little business man, and I would love for him to have one, but I feel it’s two expensive for a seven year old. But the net book, oh yea! Santa will have one for my Stevey for home work, intel,reserch, and play on the go. He’ll even enjoy practicing his hand writing. I will be able to give him access to the world, while I’m driving to the grocery store.
This laptop would be perfect for a college student like myself! I’ve actually gotten to mess with one of these in the stores and I fell in love with it! (Unfortunately, college doesn’t leave me with too much of a budget!) I love the screen that becomes a writing tablet. This would be so handy for note taking. Not to mention how light and portable it is! Plus having it be water resistant is great for busy (and clumsy) people, like myself, that seem to be completely accident prone. This notebook is great for all ages, so I can share it with my middle school aged sister and it would be convenient and easy for her to use, too. All in all, this is a wonderful notebook!

My favorite feature is definitely the touchscreen
The fact that it’s water resistant would be the BEST thing for me. I ruined my laptop when I gave it a big cold drink by accident.
My daughter, who is SIX, has asked for one of these. I think it would be great for us because she loves to draw and she can go through a ream of paper by herself in less than a month, if we don’t keep an eye on her. She’s CRAZY about drawing.
It would also help her work on her writing, because she’s got this great imagination and I want to channel it so badly.
I’m looking forward to the possibility of something finally encouraging my stepdaughter to write! She absolutely hates it, so if I can find some way to pique her interest, I’m all for it!

We homeschool so having this for schoolwork for my kids would be a dream. I love the durability (water resistant, shock resistant) for our two rough boys, I often go to online learning for math games and other school projects and it would be great if one could move the Classmate to PC Netbook to another room.

What a cool netbook! I think the most fascinating thing about it is how it can go from PC to tablet to touchscreen, and it’s all in one, rather than having all kinds of peripherals that need to be carefully swapped in and out.

In addition, I have always wanted a tablet netbook/pc ever since I first saw them on a Disney Channel Original Movie awhile back — it just is so awesome and I’ve tried them out in the store and I love writing using it! It would be wonderful to have a mobile version of our computer and much better for my son’s schoolwork. There are so many wonderful features about this Intel Classmate PC netbook that are so appealing to me! Right now we are using an old stationary PC that has been rebuilt twice and is dying for good now. So, the ability to have a working computer that we can count on is in and of itself something that we need. I pray everyday that our computer starts! But that fact that this netbook has its own internal sensor automatically orients the screen to whichever way you have it turned and it is portable is just a luxury we are not used to having! The kids can use it anywhere in the house to either work on their school assignments or play games when their homework is done. Just the idea of having a versatile computer we can use wherever we are sounds obvious to some, but not to us. We have never had that before. Thanks so much for the chance to enter.

This is one amazing PC. What is not to love about it! As a mother of 4 I like the durability of it! I applaude HP for coming up with a laptop that we don’t have to worry about letting our children use. Plus the touchscreen makes it easier for little ones to navigate around it, I know my 9,8, and 7 year olds could use this PC!

The durability is “key” for my with 5 kids, 4 being rough and tumble boys. My oldest son is dyslexic and could really benefit from owning something like this he could take with him.

It’s hard to pick ONE best feature. I guess the whole kid-friendly thing in it’s entirety is beyond awesome. My kids are constantly asking to use my computer, and I’m always afraid they’re going to spill something on it, or damage it in some way. We couldn’t afford to replace it, and having gone without a computer for a while, I don’t want to deal with that again.

This would be perfect for my homeschooled son. I love these little netbooks, both for their affordability (when a large computer is out of reach financially) and portability (lightweight for field trips, and studying in the car).

I would enjoy the shock resistance. My daughter is 11, but sometimes even 11yrs olds still drop things. And I would enjoy the tablet screen. My daughter could figure out math problems and much more without having to use scrap paper.
And the fact that it is small. Our laptop is nice but heavy.

I like the flexibility of the display / writing tablet, and the touch screen seems like an awesome feature.

I love everything about this product especially the stylus and tablet which means no need for my 8 years-old daughter to use scratch papers, crayons and pens when she’s on her Leonardo Da Vinci mood. I encourage her to cultivate her artistic talent but what I want to stop is great ability to turn our house into a mini dumpsite after her art sessions.

There’s no question that the feature of the Classmate PC that most excites me is the fact that it is very shock-resistant. That’s good news for clumsy people…(like me).

The camera that is built in is a really cool touch to a netbook that has a 360 swivel screen and of course the wrting tablet adds alot of perks to it. I like the fact that its a “Green” item for the environment this will help reduce alot of paper waste.

My 6 year old son has been begging for his own computer. That’s all he wants Santa to bring him this year. I have looked at different options available. The comupters in the toy department, just don’t provide what I’m looking for. And to purchase a laptop for a careless 6 year old, just seems unrealistic.
You have ceratinly opened my eyes to a product that I did not know was available. I love so many features that it is hard to just pick one, but on that note knowing it would be for a 6 year old, I would have to pick the fact that it
is durable and can handle more abuse than the average compter.
