Don’t tell my husband -I think I’m in love with Google. It started several years ago and it’s really serious now. Part of the charm is that Google and I can be together via any computer or digital mobile device. [There's an app for that.]
I was first lured in by Google’s RSS feed reader. We spent time together every day! My favorite sites all together, neatly categorized and filed alphabetically in folders! How lovely.
Then I set up my Google Profile so I could comment on private blogspot.com blogs. What connections we made together!
Of course I set up Adsense as soon as possible. The rewards from that take some patience, but Google keeps me busy while I wait.
Soon Google took over my Feedburner account and keeps track of my subscribers for me. Speaking of my blogs, Google Analytics shows me numbers and stats any time of any day.
Can you see how Google has invaded most areas of my online life?
Google must love me in return – it searches the web for me and Alerts me whenever someone mentions me or my blog. I even have it search for several things and it searches as often as I ask and then sends a nice list to my email.
I was so happy when I could log into YouTube with the same password as my feed reader. One less password to remember thanks to my Google!
Google talked me into leaving my old email client that let so much spam through. Now I have 3 emails filtered into one Gmail account. I don’t think I could ever leave Google now.
The icing on the cake is the Documents. Oh, how I love using Google Docs! I can make pdfs, spreadsheets, slideshows, and more to share with one person or hundreds. I can even set it up so others can edit the document and everyone involved can see the changes.
The best part of all these beautiful things Google lets me use? They are free! No sign up or monthly fees.
I think my husband suspects that I’m having an affair with Google, but Google knows I love my husband more…most of the time.
I do have one secret from Google – please don’t tell – it’s crazy I know, but I still use Yahoo for my main search engine.

On a serious note, if you are active online you need to check out Google and all it’s accessories. It can save you time and help you in more ways than I’ve mentioned here. Here is a list of the tools that I use through my Google account:
- Feed Reader
- Adsense
- Feedburner

- Analytics
- Alerts
- YouTube
- Gmail
- Google Docs
What Google tools do you use? Love or hate?
