If you have an iPhone 4 you may have noticed that you randomly hang up on or “facedial” people without meaning to.
I have and it’s the most annoying thing! And from reading different sources online, it seems that the face recognition ability of the iPhone 4 is not as precise as it’s predecessor. I never really thought about the fact that a phone has to recognize that a face is a face and not a finger is touching it!
But now I know. And I was “facedialing” people all the time. You hold the phone on your shoulder to grab something and next thing you know you are calling someone else, or muting the call, or worse, hanging up in the middle of a meeting. Yes it’s great that you can multitask WHEN you want to. But when you don’t?
I was offered the Otterbox Defender iPhone 4 (affiliate) cover to review and was excited to see a significant decrease in facedialing! It’s not perfect, but then there are problems with any touchscreen phone. What the Otterbox offers is a protective case with a clear screen over the touchscreen, and I think it’s just enough to keep the face away. Now instead of every call being an issue, it’s only random calls here and there. I’m also learning to work with the sensitivity which I was not able to do w/out the cover because the sensitivity was through the roof.
Not to mention you are protecting your phone! At $49.95 that’s worth the peace of mind!
And did I say it was pink and black? So happy that it’s stylish as well! It comes in so many colors!
Add the Otterbox to your holiday list as the must have iPhone accessory of the season!
