ProBlogger is in the midst of a great series on “How To Take Your Blog to the Next Level,” in which he writes:

“…the reality is that getting the search engine traffic is only half of the job – the REAL challenge is converting these 1000 or so daily visitors into repeat visitors. Unfortunately unless you do this second step the majority of your search engine visitors will simply never return to your blog.”

The key, says ProBlogger author Darren Rowse, is stickiness. He suggests three ways to improve your blog’s stickiness and convert one-time readers to regular readers:

• Have an attractive blog design
• Highlight your best posts
• Offer a variety of subscription methods
