If you’re from an era where women and muscles didn’t mesh, it’s time to rethink your outlook. In the struggle between weights vs cardio, there’s more reason to seek them both. See for yourself:
Cardio: The ever-popular vision of walking/starmastering/running/elliptical machine(ing?)
Cardio’s benefits include:
- Squishing Stress by elevating serotonin levels by 50% over a three to five time a week regimen.
- Extending life expectancy by reducing the risk of obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis and stroke.
- Achieving goals and self confidence by promoting longevity and accomplishment simply through completing the activity.
Strength Training: Don’t think Arnold, think sleek and strong
Strength Training benefits include:
- Metabolic spike for an hour after working out which increases your metabolism an additional 25%.
- Your confidence with your naked body by increasing the blood flow to muscles allowing them to seem more defined even in the very beginning.
- Improving agility and decreasing possible injuries by strengthening the muscles supporting critical joints.
In the end, which is better? The obvious answer: Both. Incorporate 3 days of weights and 2-3 days of cardio each week and you’re on a surefire path to health and wellness. Next up: How to make it happen. Stay tuned!
