Have you ever found yourself crying for seemingly no reason at all? Well it turns out that a good cry might be good for your mind, and your mood. A recent study reported on in Medical News Today suggests that while the act of crying generally causes an initial stress reaction in the body, crying may have a longer-term calming effect for most people. Next time you’ve had a stressful day and go home to cry in your pillow, don’t feel bad. You’ll likely come away from the sob-fest with a better mood and maybe even a new perspective.
