Last week was a week full of diet and exercise successes. After a week like last week, I wonder why I can’t always find time for exercise and why I can’t always put down the fork when I’m full. I hope that I can maintain the momentum of my successes because making headway towards a lower weight and higher fitness level feels INCREDIBLE!
Here’s what I accomplished:
1. 3 days of vigorous walking, while pushing two kids in stroller for an hour each time.
2. The one day we had fast food, I didn’t eat all of my fries.
3. Drank at least 2 more glasses of water a day than I usually do.
4. I didn’t have seconds of any dinners all week.
Those may seem like little things, but for me, they’re HUGE!
I already have plans to take the kids in their stroller for a walk 3 times again this week, plus I’m going to add my Pilate’s DVD workout at least twice. When I bought groceries for the week, I didn’t buy any unhealthy snack items, but rather bought extra fruit and frozen edamame.
It’s the little changes that I think will make the difference…in fact, they already have. My energy level seems greater, I’ve been sleeping better at night, and my mood has improved. All of this in just one week of making better diet and exercise choices!
I’m pumped! Stay tuned next week when hopefully I can tell you my size 10 capris fit over my hips!

Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I started an exercise program a few months ago and it’s nice to have someone to “share” the journey with. I see what I’m doing as a change in the bad habits I had. I want to feed my husband and myself better and be healthier! It’s been a hard start, but I’m in in for the long haul.
Thank you for inspiration!
yay!! keep it up! i’m the same way, very inconsistent with my workouts, but last week i was very good and this week i’ve been good so far! i know i feel so great – like i’ve accomplished something. i heard a quote that “exercise shouldn’t be a luxury” i think that’s true. we need to take care of ourselves before we can take care of anyone else! keep going!!
Excellent… I have been doing little things too… they will add up.. I know they will… Keep up the great work
Those things ARE major! Keep up the good work!
Help! I’ve fallen off of the fitness train and I can’t get back up.
Only walked once this week. Ate like a pig all week long. Boobs are swore. PMS approaching? The biggest sabotage of all!
