This is just about the time of year we start to panic about our summer wardorbe, our ability to fit into it, and our desire to be seen in it. So if you are like me, you pick up the pace on the exercising, hoping to firm enough to either get noticed or (as in my case) NOT get noticed.
I was given a review copy of the EA SPORTS Active for Wii, and the workout is intense. You are given the option of either the 30 day challenge, or designing a workout of your own. There are low impact, cardio and more levels and easy, medium and hard settings.
You’ll be treated to not just running and lunges, but sports like tennis, boxing, dance and inline skating. The workouts last 20 minutes and give you an estimated calorie burn. At the end of each session you are told if you meet or exceed that expectation. Along the way you are given encouragement, and can get tips and refreshers on different exercises…especially if you need a breather. Otherwise it’s a fast paced 20 minute workout! And it’s set up for individual or multi-player. Exercise with a friend or family member!
Included in the kit is the game, elastic band and a nunchuck leg strap. Am I sold on the kit? So far it’s exceeded my expectations, and been fun enough to keep me coming back for more (in spite of the pain!) I think it has helped knowing you have a set number of short workouts that will take up the 20 minutes instead of one exercise alone. I like variety. And I like that I can pick 10-12 exercises in the sequence to do that day.
Now I haven’t started the 30 day challenge. I’ll be doing it in June. Ready to join me?

I started today! I dislike the trainer very much. Please keep me accountable!
I have this! We pre ordered it to get it on release day!
I think it’s fantastic. I love the constant change from one thing to another. Can’t quite get the hang of the dancing though, heehee, must be uncoordinated or something.
