The first time your child smiled is a moment you likely have etched in your memory…. you took picture after picture, you memorized it and wrapped yourself in the sweetness of their joy. As they began to toddle, you found yourself doing silly little things just to see that grin break across their face…. and now, as they get older, you recognize how a smile can transform their attitude.
But sometimes, heading in to those teen years, you watch the big-open-mouth-grin be replaced by a tight-lipped smile – one that hides teeth your child has become self-concious about…..
And you remember WELL just how that felt. And you may even remember what it was like to have braces. The pain of tightening, the inability to eat SO MANY FOODS, even the teasing. But now teens have other options. No more wires, no more brackets….. Invisalign Teen is , a series of removable and virtually invisible aligners that gradually move teeth over time to help your teen achieve a great smile and proper bite.
Some of the benefits of Invisalign Teen:
- It gives teens a great smile—Invisalign Teen helps your teen feel confident in their smile and themselves.
- It fits teens’ busy lives—the aligners are comfortable and durable, so it’s easy for teens to continue their favorite activities such as playing sports and musical instruments that can be challenging or uncomfortable with traditional metal braces.
- It’s clear—no metal braces so treatment is inconspicuous, making it easier for teens to “fit in” rather than call attention to their treatment.
- It’s removable—teens take the aligners out to brush and floss so they can maintain normal, healthy hygiene during treatment and they can eat what they want.
- It’s more comfortable than traditional braces—Invisalign Teen aligners are made of lightweight plastic that is custom-fitted to each patient’s teeth. Unlike braces, there are no wires or uncomfortable metal brackets poking or tearing their mouths or gums.
In celebration of our latest BlissTV episode about the importance of instilling confidence in our children, Invisalign is offering the chance for one lucky mom to win a new smile for her child.

Sarah is a wife, and a mother to two daughters, aged 8 and 5. She's is the stepmother to a 14-year-{read more}

We have one picture of our daughter that is everyone’s favorite – we managed to capture a single, brief moment where she was relaxed enough to smile. A real smile. No self-conscious smirk or turning away from the camera. I want more of that. She’s due for something very soon – the dentist will be referring us later this year. An invisible solution just might give her the confidence she needs to relax and show us that smile more often.
A new straight smile would bring all her brightness out for all to see. That joyful wide smile that kids show when they are yound at not at all worried about how they look. I would like to help her bring that back.
My son has now entered into the teen stage where he wants to stand out yet fit in at the same time. The Invisalign solution would be the best of both worlds for him. His look wouldn’t change during the process other than beautiful straight teeth!!
My son has been wearing a retainer since he was 5. Severe grinding has made his teeth smaller and shifted them quite a bit. The retainers have helped, but have been so expensive.
Michael wants braces, but feels that they will make him look even worse than his teeth do now. I had Invisalign a few years ago, and he has been asking for them ever since. He says that getting Invisalign will make him more comfortable while his teeth are beng straightened.
My son has had a speech problem since he was a baby, and he has had to deal with feeling self-conscious about that his entire life. Now, he is in middle school and will have to have braces. I hate the thought that the braces may inhibit his speech that he has worked so hard to correct or may cause him to feel self-conscious again. I know they will be worth it in the long-run, but Invisalign may possibly make it easier for him, and I would love to win this for him.
My 16 yo son walks around looking upset all the time because he won’t open his mouth or smile because of his teeth. He unfortunately has his fathers family gaps…very widely spaced teeth. I personally think it would help him make friends…he would feel better about himself and wouldn’t always look mad.
Here’s some of what the assessment said:
Examining all the options for straightening your teen’s teeth is important, but it can also be a confusing experience. With so many options for improving your teen’s smile, picking the right one for your budget, schedule and his or her busy lifestyle is the key to a positive treatment experience. And while we can’t fully determine if your teen is a candidate from just this assessment, we can tell you that, based on your answers, Invisalign might offer a great way for your teen to fix a spacing or crowding issue.
My daughter is in 7th grade–arguably the worst grade EVER. She has a gap between her two front teeth that really bothers her, and she wants to have it corrected. Also, she performs in plays and musicals regularly, so Invisalign would be such a help to her–no sparkly braces to be seen while she’s performing!
Took the self assessment, and here’s what it said: “Examining all the options for straightening your teen’s teeth is important, but it can also be a confusing experience. My daughter is beautiful, but was excited when the dentist told me she’d be referring her for braces within the next couple of years. She loves the idea of a nice smile. While she does not hide her smile now, I fear that traditional braces would cause her to start doing that. I have watched quite a few Invisalign commercials, wondering if insurance would cover it and if we could afford it! I really think it would be a better option than metal braces.
Our 9 year old son has become increasingly camera shy. If he does smile, then it is always a closed mouth smile. As someone who wore braces twice in my life, once as a child and once as an adult, I know the embarrassment he feels from his teeth. Invisalign would straighten his crooked teeth without the embarrassment of being the only child in the fourth grade with braces. We have four sons, so any financial help with the cost of braces would be a God-send!
I tweeted this.

Having worn braces as an adult, I know how having straight teeth can help self-confidence. My daughter has just turned 12 and would greatly benefit from Invisalign.
Our wonderful daughter, Jenny has a pronounced overbite – due to the fact that she sucked her thumb for many years. She’s 13, and our joyful and energetic last born – full of love for everyone and every animal she meets. With her strawberry blond hair, green eyes, and freckles – she’s just the cutest girl this side of the Mississippi! How wonderful it would be to give her a healthy smile to go along with her healthy outlook on life as she lives her teens years and into adulthood. We have already put braces on two of our children…what a blessing this would be to our whole family.
My oldest daughter is absolutely gorgeous and still hasn’t become self-conscious about her teeth. I am hoping to start the process of fixing them before this happens to maintain her current confidence.
My 11 year old is so self-conscious about her smile- her teeth aren’t bad, but she has a little snaggle-tooth and some straightening needs. She would feel so good about herself if she could have braces. We have already taken her to the orthodontist and her teeth are ready for braces. Unfortunately I am currently going through a divorce and just can’t afford the payments right now.
The assessment said it is the perfect time to start

My 9 year old daughter has a tooth that we call her “double” tooth. It came in with her baby teeth, fell out, but now her adult tooth is the same way. She is feeling very self concious about it already:(
My daughter is quiet and reserved. I want her to feel beautiful in the body God has given her. She is crowded at the young age of nine and I know braces are in our future. What a blessing to have something like this paid for as a child instead of dealing with it out of your own pocket as an adult. A smile certainly is noticed first by others.
My dear daughter, oldest of five, is one of four going to need braces. At fourteen, she is ready to start treatment anytime, according to consultations. She has crossbite and crowding, and we would really appreciate the opportunity to get her into braces.
i actually have an almost 12 yo who has crowding issues and an almost 14 yo who has a bit of a spacing issue…her two front teeth have a gap & are a little angled. my the oldest was diagnosed with depression about 2 years ago. how she looks has a lot to do with her self-confidence issues. she refuses to smile for pictures & will cover her mouth if she laughs because she is embarrassed by her teeth. i know that if my older daughter had the treatment, it would boost her confidence & make her feel good about herself. it might even make her invest more time into herself, because she has a hard time doing that. i know with the youngest, one way or the other, we will probably see braces. an orthodontist said that she would need them, another dentist said she wouldn’t, but i think i probably should have listened to the orthodontist
/ i think if i were lucky enough to win, i would use this on the 14 yo. it has been a long 2 yrs for her, she has her good days and her bad…she’s finally turning the corner a bit and doesn’t even need her depression meds, but i know this could really boost her over the top.

Based on your answers, here are some facts to consider:
Aligners are removable so your teen can eat normally and easily brush and floss.
There are no metal wires or brackets to irritate your teen’s cheeks and gums or cause injury during sports and activities.
Best of all, aligners are virtually invisible so most people won’t even know your teen is straightening their teeth.

thx for the awesome sweepstakes…gotta do all i can do when i have TWO kids who need braces
/ lol
)
My son has needed braces for a few years now but since his father and I divorced, I have not been able to afford them and insurance hardly pays anything at all. My son plays football, rugby, and wrestles and back when his dad did live here and was willing to help pay medical bills, he never wanted to get them because it would have interfered with sports. Invisalign would be perfect for him and a godsend, truly. I too needed braces as a teenager but could not get them, and sad to say the pictures of me are the ones where I rarely fully smile. I want my son to grow into the wonderful young man he is already becoming with a proud confident smile.
Thanks so much for the great opportunity!
The Self Assessment said that Invisalign could be a great way for my teen to fix a spacing or crowding issue – and pretty much everything else that a previous poster said – for space reasons, I won’t re-post.
My son’s teeth were okay when he was younger, but during his late teen years they have shifted. We spent a chunk of money on traditional braces on our daugther and she has a beautiful smile. I would love to offer the same to our son who is presently serving in the USMC.
My oldest 2 kids both will need braces. My 12 year old needs them now, but we don’t have the money. I am hopeful that when we can fix his teeth that it will boost his self confidence.
My son has been told that he needs braces, but I have been putting it off because I am too ashamed to admit that I can’t afford them. I am a single mom who receives random child support and no alimony because my former husband has another child to support now. I would love for my child to be able to have braces. Thank you for this opportunity.
The self assessment sounds like we would be a good fit for Invisalign.
My 13 yr old has protruding front teeth from years of thumb sucking. And 4 years ago, his front tooth was borken in a basketball accident. There is a composite on this tooth, but it often comes off… some day he will need a veneer on this tooth. He struggles with the appearance, and would like to straighten his smile. Traditional braces will be difficult with is front tooth stability, so Invisilign would be a wonderful alternative. Thanks so much for the opportunity!
I have a daughter who has had much trouble with her teeth. She had recently had 8 teeth removed and her permanent teeth are stacked behind one another. Her smiles are always closed lipped and she’s so uncomfortable with have her picture even taken anymore. I’d love for her to have a wonderful smile to let that inner glow out. Thank You, M-

My son has been asking for braces since he was in the third grade. When his adult teeth started to come in, they came in all over the place. I dont think he has two teeth that actually line up. This has greatly affected his self confidence. Other kids make fun of him because of his teeth. When he has pictures taken, he doesnt smile (and hasnt in many years). At 15, nearly 16, he is at an age where appearance is very important to him. I believe is his teeth were straight, not only would he gain self confidence, but his behavior would improve. I also think that he would treat others better when he feels better about himself.
A smile is the first impression most have of people they meet. If we are to effectively spread the gospel we need to not only be confident in spirit but welcoming in countenance as well. What a blessing this would be for a young person to feel that extra boost of self esteem in proclaiming the Word of God.
Just did the assessment and it said that the system most likely could help my son with his crowding issues.
My son is SUPER self conscience about his mouth. He had to have surgery to remove an extra tooth that made one of his front teeth grow in crooked. He has had an spacer to help, but I think it would mean a lot to him to be able to not have to think about it. He’s such an awesome kid, I just want him to feel more confident about his appearance!!
My 12 year old daughter endured the first phase of metal bracket braces and then with only a couple more teeth to lose, the orthodontist took everything off letting many of her pretty, straight teeth go crooked again. Then he says it’s time for phase 2! I just don’t get this procedure except as a way for them to earn more of our money! She is NOT happy about having to endure another phase of metal bracket braces. Invisalign would certainly allow her a more pleasurable experience having to deal with braces once again!
My eleven year old has already had some orthodontic work done, and she’s now scared of the dentist. I need a pain free way to help her obtain a beautiful smile, and Invisalign sounds perfect!
Here’s the beginning of our assessment results:

Corrective Needs: crowding, an overbite
Desired Outcome: fix an issue with an overbite or underbite

Dental Needs
You have told us that you would like to help your teen fix an issue with an overbite or underbite. The good news is that Invisalign is applicable for many families like yours. If you elect Invisalign treatment for your teen, his or her program will consist of a full set of aligners, made for them and only them. Each aligner will move the teeth a little at a time until he or she has a smile they can be proud of. For teens, Invisalign offers a great way to straighten teeth without the hassle of braces and with minimal interference in everyday life. In fact, because the aligners are nearly invisible, most people won’t even notice your teen is wearing them.
My daughter has been evaluated by an orthodontist for an extreme protrusion of her upper teeth as well as overcrowding of the lower teeth. She has been wearing glasses for four years now, and the thought of having glasses and braces is making her self-conscious. She has never been self-conscious about her teeth (or glasses) until recently, and I do not want her to have any self-image problems. She is also scared of having the metal braces on her teeth, so I think the Invisalign would be perfect for her.

I have been told by our dentist that my 11 year old son will need braces by the time he is 13…if not now. He has three permanent teeth that can’t even come in because other teeth are so crowded.
My son has mentioned this to me several times and while I don’t think it has affected his self-confidence right now, I know it’s just a matter of time before this, in addition to the changes that happen in the teen years anyway, affects his desire to smile his beautiful smile. He just told me his smile is already “weird.”
Having straight teeth will make him feel more confident during a period of his life that tends to be the least confidence-building! He will want to smile more…something that makes my heart happy. : )

My son has a problem with self confidence already. He has been teased since starting school just because his ear stick out. He has been requesting that he get Invisaline since we found out he needed braces, saying he doesn’t want anything else he can be teased about.
INVISALIGN SELF ASSESSMENT for child of Laurie Skillern
Treatment Summary
Patient Name: Child of Laurie Skillern

For teens, Invisalign offers a great way to straighten teeth without the hassle of braces and with minimal interference in everyday life. In fact, because the aligners are nearly invisible, most people won’t even notice your teen is wearing them.
Comfort and Health
One of the great things about Invisalign is that it doesn’t involve metal bands, brackets or wires that could trap food and cause irritation the way traditional braces can. The smooth plastic aligners are not only comfortable, but they’re removable, so teens can still easily floss and brush their teeth once per day. This will help reduce chances of plaque buildup, tooth decay and periodontal disease. Also, clinical studies have shown that properly aligned teeth help the gums to fit more tightly, which can lead to better periodontal health.
Convenience
The decision of how to straighten your teen’s smile involves many factors, and one of the most important is time commitment. Frequent visits to the orthodontist probably aren’t something your teen is looking forward to. That’s why Invisalign is such a great way to straighten teeth and transform your teen’s smile. Once your teen is in treatment, your dentist or orthodontist will be able to give you several trays at once so that you can minimize the number of office visits. In fact, once the individually designed Invisalign trays are prepared, most patients only need one checkup every four to six weeks. During that time, your teen will be able to continue enjoying the things he or she normally does with confidence, including eating, playing sports and socializing. Think about it: If they start Invisalign treatment within 3 months, their new smile could be in place by by next year. The sooner they start, the sooner they’ll be flashing the smile they want.
Cost
We know cost is a big question for most people considering orthodontic work. Any treatment type can be expensive, and there are always other ways to spend your hard-earned money. That said, choosing Invisalign to fix a spacing or crowding issue is an investment in your family’s health and well-being. The time and money you spend on fixing your teen’s teeth and achieving the smile he or she wants will reap benefits for years to come. If you’re comparing options, it’s important to know that Invisalign typically costs about the same as traditional metal braces. In addition, Invisalign is covered by many orthodontic insurance plans, and many providers can arrange financing.
It is also important to know that each dentist or orthodontist sets their own price for your treatment, based on many factors including the complexity of your teen’s case, length of treatment and other factors. For this reason, different doctors may quote different prices and it may make sense to meet with more than one. Most Invisalign Preferred Providers will work with you on a financing plan to fit your budget.
Finding the Right Provider
One of the most important decisions you’ll make regarding treatment is choosing the right dentist or orthodontist. Not all practitioners offer Invisalign, but those who do have passed specialized training that enables them to design exactly the right treatment for you. For this reason, it may make sense to meet with an Invisalign Preferred Provider for a consultation. Luckily, our large provider network makes it easy to find a doctor in your area. When you’ve discussed the options with your teen and you’re ready to take the next step, you can use our Find a Doctor to find one near you.

My son’s assessment said that Invisalign would “move the teeth a little at a time until he or she has a smile they can be proud of.”
My son and my husband were discussing the discomfort of traditional braces the other day, and the assessment said, “One of the great things about Invisalign is that it doesn’t involve metal bands, brackets or wires that could trap food and cause irritation the way traditional braces can. The smooth plastic aligners are not only comfortable, but they’re removable, so teens can still easily floss and brush their teeth twice a day.”
Invisalign sounds like a great choice for straightening his teeth!
My daughter is in need of braces and we just can’t afford Invisalign at this time. Straight teeth would boost her self-confidence.

Our 15 year old son was given an expansion treatment about 5 years ago, but unfortunately, we ended up spending quite a bit of money on the process but getting very little noticeable results. It has been time for a couple of years to go forward with the “rest” of the treatment, but given our negative experience with the first phase, we have been somewhat hesitant to dive in again with the same provider. This would be an incredible opportunity to “get it right.” He often gets asked questions about his teeth and what is happening with them, but we are waiting patiently for the rest of the funds and the confidence that we are on the right track with a treatment plan. Others have said from the time he was a baby that he “smiled with his whole body,” and he naturally makes others smile with his contagious spirit. It would be great to have him smile again without any thought of reservation because of his crooked teeth.
I completed the assessment. They said, “You have told us that you would like to help your teen fix a spacing or crowding issue. The good news is that Invisalign is applicable for many families like yours.” Sounds like it will be an improvement over the traditional metal braces route that we went through with our older daughter.
My daughter has a spacing issue with her front teeth. She is very outgoing and fun-loving. I think she has a great self-esteem but getting her teeth fixed would solidify her good feeling about herself.
I so know first hand what a difference a nice smile makes. I got braces on my teeth when I was FORTY FIVE years old and now wear my Invisaline EVERY SINGLE NIGHT to keep my teeth perfect. It made a world of difference in my self-confidence and every picture I’ve taken since
Please count me in for the giveaway.
My eldest son is missing the two teeth between his eye teeth and canines. He lost them before fron teeth came in, so the front teeth are w i d e l y spaced. Why he even lost them when he didn’t have replacements is beyond me.
The dentist and the orthodontist that we have consulted with both agree that now would be the ideal time to move his teeth into final position in preparation for implants. With 5 children total, the cost is beyond our family at this time. To win a prize like this would be a complete and total blessing for our family.
I have completed the self assesment, and it indicated that he could be a good candidate based on his spacing issues.
My 10 year old is very conscience of his teeth. He doesn’t like to smile, but grins in most pictures. I think the Invisalign would give him the confidence he needs to let his smile shine.
My youngest daughter has always said her teeth are “buck like a beaver”. I don’t know where she ever came up with that thought. However, invisalign would certainly boost her confidence.

I blogged a post about the giveaway and the kid I think would bennefit from it.
I set up a twitter account just for you!

My daughter has a beautiful smile and singing voice, but her teeth are insanely crooked (due to both parents’ teeth and subsequent braces for years!). She loves life and loves to laugh but is self conscious when it comes to her teeth. Invisalign would be a huge answer to prayer for her and us as we have no dental insurance. Being a teenager is hard enough! (amen and amen) without the stigma of a mouth full of crooked teeth and fangs. Her right canine sticks out above the rest of her teeth. These would help my daughter continue to be a bright, confident young woman by not having to worry about what others are looking at when they see her.
I did the assessment with my daughter and it said she’d be a good candidate
My daughter just turns 13 today!!!! She is a beautiful girl and wants to be a singer/model. I have been told that she needs to fix her teeth before she can do good at being a model. She knows that she needs braces and has asked me a few times, but I can’t afford them, even with insurance. Please pic her, this would be so wonderful!
Thank you,
Joy
I just took the teen assessment with my daughter and it told her that she is probably a good candidate for her overcrowding. It gave us a list of providers. I really hope she wins them because I really can’t afford any more medical bills! Crossing my fingers!!!!!!
I have 5 children and it looks like all will need braces….and the first 4 are girls!!! We are just finishing up paying for our first daughter’s braces and our second daughter is now ready…and we are thinking our third daughter, too!! Both their teeth are fairly crooked. One of them sucked their thumb, so her teeth are also bucked. The other one is having problems with her jaw. A free set of braces would be a God Send!!!!
I filled out the survey and received a detailed e-mail back about fixing my daughter’s overbite and overcrowded teeth. It explained about invisalign and the providers. It also explained cost, comfort and health. Thanks!!!!!
The self-assessment gave me and my 14-year-old son some good ideas about Invisalign. He watched his big sister go through metal braces (She just finishing up now.), and he sort of resigned himeself to the penance he must do for fixing his crazy-crooked teeth. Invisalign would be such a better option for him!
My daughter could use braces to boost her self-confidence. She does not like pictures of herself because her teeth are very overcrowded. Her teeth overlap each other. She also has a metal allergy so regular braces would not be an option. We can not afford braces for her so this would be a blessing to win.
We took the invisalign assessment and my daughter with her overcrowding and overbite is a good candidate for invisalign braces.
My funny, always smiling 13 year old boy has a tooth that is not coming in straight. I’ve noticed that he doesn’t smile as big as he did before so that it doesn’t show. I would love for him to get that huge smile back. I miss it!
My oldest daughter is really, really pretty, but she’s self conscious about her crooked teeth. We’ve not been in a financial position to get her the braces that she desperately needs – and her deepest desire is to have Invisalign.
She never smiles with her teeth showing any more, and her desire to be a model has been sidelined by her teeth. I’d love to help her have more self confidence!
I tweeted it as well!

We did the assessment. It said: You’ve told us that you’d like to get straighter teeth. The good news is that you’re not alone! Many teen cases like yours have been treated successfully with Invisalign. The cool part about an Invisalign treatment is that aligners are custom-made for you, and only you. Each aligner will move your teeth a little at a time until you’ve got the smile you want. And since the aligners are nearly invisible, your friends won’t even notice that you’re wearing them.
My daughter has problem with her front teeth and shy(afraid) to smile. She worry SOOO much about it! Especially next year she will attend new school… you know teens could be so mean.
I completed the assessment, here it is:
Based on your answers, here are some facts to consider:
Aligners are removable so your teen can eat normally and easily brush and floss.
There are no metal wires or brackets to irritate your teen’s cheeks and gums or cause injury during sports and activities.
Best of all, aligners are virtually invisible so most people won’t even know your teen is straightening their teeth.
My daughter believe that if she has beautiful teeth she will be more friendly and open, she will have more friends. I agree!
As my name denotes, I am a grandma to many. Jesse is my 12th grandchild, and the oldest in his family of five kids. He has congenitally missing adult teeth. Since he is missing these teeth, his other teeth have not come into the proper place. Jesse is also 2 grades ahead of his age group. It is hard enough for him to be the youngest student in his school, but to have a goofy, lopsided smile is a double whammy to his esteem. He can’t do anything about being young and smart-not that he would want to- but at least his teeth are fixable. I would love to win this for him.
Here is what the assessment results were:
Dental Needs
You have told us that you would like to help your teen become more confident in front of people.

Waiting anxiously for the results of this great contest:)
I don’t see the comment I thought I left about having tweeted about the contest. I thought I commented already. Hmmmm.
My daughter has been asking about braces ever since one of her top front teeth came in crooked. It certainly affects her smile. The smile I crave seeing, the one that lights up her face and puts sparkle in her eyes. I want her feel good about smiling. I want to get her teeth corrected. At this point in time, it’s impossible for us. I hope, so HOPE that this could happen for her. It would mean the world.
My youngest daughter is now a college student and she has been self-conscious about her teeth since she was 9 years old. She has a beautiful face but her teeth are very crooked and crowded. She lacks confidence when meeting new friends and when giving presentations in front of her classmates. After being reminded constantly by her grandmother that she needs braces “to fix those crooked teeth” and staring at her teeth for hours in front of the mirror, she decided it was time to go to a free Invisalign consultation. She spent hours researching about Invisalign and fell in love with the process. She also found an Elite provider with great reviews online. The consultation went well and after examining her teeth, he told us that she was a really good candidate for Invisalign. But we were told that the process would cost more than $5,ooo! My daughter was in tears when she realized that our insurance would not cover any of the costs and our family cannot afford the procedure. She hopes that she can start slowly saving for her procedure after she graduates and pays her student loans. This will probably take several years and unfortunately, she will have to remain self-conscious about her teeth even when interviewing for jobs. Winning this contest would be a dream come true for her. She will finally have the straight teeth that she has wanted ever since her adult teeth came in. And I will finally see my daughter smile!

Dental Needs
You have told us that you would like to help your teen achieve a new smile.
Comfort and Health
One of the great things about Invisalign is that it doesn’t involve metal bands, brackets or wires that could trap food and cause irritation the way traditional braces can. The smooth plastic aligners are not only comfortable, but they’re removable, so teens can still easily floss and brush their teeth twice a day.
Think about it: If they start Invisalign treatment immediately, their new smile could be in place by in less than a year. The sooner they start, the sooner they’ll be flashing the smile they want.
Cost
We know cost is a big question for most people considering orthodontic work. Any treatment type can be expensive, and there are always other ways to spend your hard-earned money. That said, choosing Invisalign to achieve a new smile is an investment in your family’s health and well-being.

This is eerie, my mother-in-law (who was a dental assistant for years) just told me yesterday that she thinks my son will definately need braces for his underbite (which she said could run the shape of his face) and a couple of wide spaced teeth. And then I get an email from Blissfully Domestic with this contest! My son begins high school next year and while he is such a good soul and tenderhearted I feel his shyness will hold him back from blossoming like I know he could. A wonderful smile to go along with his handsome face (I know but he really is!) would do wonders for his self esteem! Thanks so very much for the chance to win this!
We took the self assessment (I think he fibbed when he said he brushes 4 times a day! ) and here’s the results:
As a teen, now is the perfect time to start thinking about straightening your teeth. Yearbook pictures, prom and even graduation are just a few of the things coming up in your life. We’d like to make sure you experience all of these things with the confidence that a great smile provides. While we can’t fully determine if you are a candidate from just this assessment, we can tell you that, based on your answers, Invisalign might offer a great way to fix an issue with an overbite or underbite without having to deal with the hassle and irritation of metal braces.
Based on your answers, here are some facts to consider:
Aligners are removable so you can continue doing what you normally would. For example, playing sports, taking pics, and eating anything you want.
There are no metal wires or brackets to irritate your cheeks and gums.
Aligners are virtually invisible so most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
If you want to know more about Invisalign and whether it’s the right solution for you, please provide your e-mail address and we will e-mail you a customized Self Assessment based on your responses. The Invisalign Self Assessment is not designed to replace a consultation with your dentist or orthodontist, but it will provide information and answers customized to your situation as well as options you can discuss with your parents.

I apologize for posting multiple times. My computer was having trouble!
She’s always been a pretty confident kid, but her teeth failed her. So as so many others mention, for a fun loving kid who loves to have a great time and laugh and goof off….it’s hard to have to hide your smile because teeth are jutting out where they shouldn’t. Our family doesn’t have insurance that can even help cover the cost of braces, so it’s always been put off, even though she asks about it a few times a year “When can we get my teeth fixed?” It’s her first year of high school now and she’s been thrown into a huge school with lots of new people. Her confidence was already going to be tested, but it’s even worse to see her smile for pictures and not want to open her mouth at all. We do pictures with Santa every year (yes, even the adults….it’s our family picture) and every year, the guy with the camera says “Smile big! No bigger! Show me those teeth!” But….yeah….at 15, it’s finally starting to take a bigger hit than just little kids asking her about it.
HELLO! I am a teen who wants my teeth to be straight so I will have more confidence. When I was about 8 years old, I have teeth that were not straight and I was called “cute” because I have buck tooth. As I got older people start noticing my teeth and I was not comfortable. Once I hit high school I really like taking pictures. I was always scared to be in the pictures because I love to smile, but my teeth will show. I never learn my lesson by not smiling in front of the camera because my friends made me laugh, which made me smile even more. I wish I will have straight teeth and actually be in pictures rather than taking them.
