Tis the season for Starbucks peppermint mocha.
Come December first, my taste buds start to crave that yummy holiday drink but as with every holiday treat, too much of a good thing can be bad (especially if you have hips).
Even though I know that I can get peppermint mochas year round, I try to keep them as a special holiday time treat. At 400 calories a piece (for a grande), I need to keep my consumption to a minimum.
Other ways that I have found to reduce my peppermint mocha calories is by:
-
Ordering a tall
-
Making it non-fat
-
Minus the whip cream and chocolate sprinkles
-
Asking for 2 pumps of syrup instead of the normal 3
This brings my peppermint mocha calories down to 200! (Allowing room for a piece of fudge, calorically speaking).

When you go, don’t forget to take your own travel mug and pick up some spent coffee grounds while you’re there!
