Zemco Industries has announced a recall of deli meat that was distributed to Wal Marts and has been sold in their stores nationwide. The meat might be infected with Listeria monocytogenes, a potentially life threatening contaminant. It is particularly harmful to those with weakened immune systems, and can cause miscarriages or stillbirth in women who are pregnant.
Full details are available on the USDA’s website. If you have purchased some of the affected deli meat, do not eat it and follow the USDA recommendations regarding this recall.

Wow – thanks for the heads up. We shop at Wal Mart all of the time!
The website seems to say it’s a recall of various kinds of “grab and go” sandwiches, not packages of deli meat. Am I wrong?
