Windex is one of those quintessential cleaning products that just about everyone has in their home. You may remember your mom using it when you were a kid; it was probably one of the first cleaning products you used when you struck out on your own. It’s versatile and economical and over the years it has only improved. Now, in addition to the classic “blue stuff”, Windex has a whole line of multi-purpose products from sprays to wipes to outdoor strength formulas.
Windex has also worked hard to make it’s products more environmentally friendly so you can feel confident about using them in your home without harming your family or the environment.
Right now on Windex’s website, you can find lots of “Bright Ideas” for your life and home and you can even submit your own bright ideas! I like this one from the website:
While you’re at the supermarket, treat yourself to a bouquet of colorful fresh flowers. They’ll add a welcoming, cheery note to your home.
Last week, the nice folks at Windex treated several Nashville bloggers to a “Brighten Your Day” event. We met at a local pottery studio, had a lovely lunch, painted some fabulous pieces of pottery and each went home with a fun gift basket. My day was definitely brightened by attending and I’ve loved putting my gift basket items to use!
The best way to brighten my day is to surround myself with interesting, funny, smart, talented women– and the Windex event gave me the perfect opportunity to do just that!

Windex would love to ‘brighten the day’ of TWO of our readers as well! They are giving away two of the gift baskets that we received at the event. The gift basket is a canvas bin (great for organizing your desk, craft area, etc), a fun picture frame and a bottle of Windex Multi-Surface Vinegar.
To enter, please leave a comment telling us how you like to “brighten your day”.
For a second entry, you can tweet about this giveaway with the #brighten hashtag.

I like to brighten my day by exercising, preferably outdoors.
A chat (without children at my elbow – so usually during naptime) with my BFF, who lives too far away these days makes my day so much brighter!
A good cup of coffee, hearing the laugh of my child, and receiving a kiss from my Hubby all brighten my day!

Crispy weather-crispy apples-crispy leaves-brightens my day right up!
I brighten my day with a cup of coffee, a good book and a snuggle from my favorite pooch.
I brighten my day by making my bed in the morning, with all the throw pillows and everything. Every time I walk into the room during the day, the neatly made bed brings a happiness and feeling of order to the whole room, and there’s something about getting into a made bed at night that makes sleep feel so good!
I brighten my day by digging in the dirt, there is just something about digging and planting fresh plants that makes me smile. Afterwards I find myself constantly going to the window to look at the bed, container, or vase that I worked with, refreshing my smile every time!
Seeing our teens smiling back at me and saying “This was a very good day!”
Taking some time to read, especially outside brightens my day.

I love lighting a scented candle to brighten my day. It brings me happiness every time I walk into the room!
Chocolate always brightens my day.
I brighten my day by crafting something fun with the kids in my life. They have so many creative ideas, it always makes me happy.
Spending time with my two boys always brightens my day….going to the park, taking a walk, or even just playing a game inside.
I brighten my day with a nice easy family dinner at the table. I love to hear what the kids learned at school that day. It’s a great way to relax and unwind after a long day.
