In January 2016, a friend of Blissfully Domestic wrote her first book. I'm honored to have had the opportunity to interview Alli Worthington and discover the in's and out's of how Breaking Busy went from paper to publication. I'm happy to know Alli Worthington as a personal friend, and I'm excited to introduce her and her new book, Breaking Busy, to you. I had so much fun reading Breaking Busy. It reads as if you are sitting in a coffee shop, with Alli, and enjoying each others company and conversation. The way Breaking Busy is written is so conversational…it's just like having the best talk between girlfriends. Without further ado, Alli Worthington, ladies, and gentlemen. {My questions/comments are in bold.} What made you want to write Breaking Busy? I wanted to help other women get … [Read more...]

BlissDom at the Gaylord Texan
It kind of feels like leaving home, doesn’t it? After three incredible years at the Gaylord Opryland, BlissDom is moving to Texas. But never fear! I visited the Gaylord Texan and did a little recon. Trust me when I say that it feels like home- only a bit smaller. Getting to The Gaylord Texan Unlike the Opryland, which had its own shuttle, the Texan relies on other sources to deliver you to the fabulous resort. Just minutes from DFW, an easy an inexpensive option is to book with Super Shuttle. The ride is only $11 each way and can be easily booked online. After visiting baggage claim to get your luggage, simply use one of the phones in the area to call Super Shuttle for pickup. Super Shuttle also provides transportation to and from Love Field for $22. Shuttles depart … [Read more...]
Planning A Girls Getaway at Blissdom

And with so much to do - sessions, parties, meeting new people - it’s time to leave before we’ve really gotten to spend time with the ladies we’ve been looking forward to seeing for a year! Here’s my solution: Plan a Pre-BlissDom Girls Getaway! Instead of arriving the day events begin, why not come in a day early? You’ll get the conference room rate and have a day to … [Read more...]
