Cold Weather Essential – Vaseline Intensive Care Advanced Repair

I participated in this sponsored campaign on behalf of Vaseline® and One2One Network. All opinions stated are my own. Winter. Every year I tell myself I’m going to embrace it, get out there and really enjoy this season.  But then it gets cold.  Really cold. The other aspect of winter I just don’t like?  Dry skin.  For years I kept various lotions and creams in my drawer at work.  It would happen, the tightness, the hangnails, the cracking skin.  Feet, hands, all over – ughh. When One2One Network offered me a chance to try Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion, I was intrigued.  This lotion includes Micro droplets of Vaseline jelly – since I have been known to slather my hands in Vaseline jelly and wear gloves to beat the dry skin – this formula sounded great to me. Vaseline Intensive … [Read more...]

2015 Color of the Year – Marsala

Each year several color companies announce what they call the "color of the year".  It's an on-trend color that you'll expect to see in clothing, makeup, home and fashion accessories in the coming year.  The color that will define the year (I suppose we could take a look back and see at the end if the year how much we "felt" that color but that's another post). Because the Pantone company does so much color work for designers, they've become the official color pickers.  Pantone has selected a "Color of the Year" since 2000. For 2015, the Color of the Year is Marsala.  I know, the first thing that comes to your mind is chicken isn't it? Chicken Marsala gets its name from Marsala wine. The wine itself is a rich, earthy red. So stop thinking about chicken. Marsala is described a … [Read more...]

How to Keep Fall Fashions Fresh Every Day

This is a sponsored post on behalf of One2One Network and P&G. All opinions are our own. 'Tis the season for pulling out all of our favorite Fall fashions and getting them ready for cooler temperatures. At the end of each season I like to pack up what I won't be wearing for a few months and store it on the top shelf of my closet. It's a space saver, in that it eliminates pieces that are hanging and it's a time saver, in that I'm not sorting through clothes that aren't in season while looking for an outfit. The problem with doing this, however, is that those clothes that get packed up lose their "fresh from the laundry" smell. My favorite way to bring back that fresh scent is with Tide, Downy and Bounty! With these three products my plaid button-up tops, chunky sweaters, jackets … [Read more...]

Vaseline Spray it Forward

As a busy mom of five, I can honestly say that before I tried Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturizer, I had not applied lotion in MONTHS. That's seriously no exaggeration. I am on-the-go from the moment my toes touch the bedroom floor until my head crashes into the pillow at night. Lotion had no place in my life. Until now. How often have you had dry, itchy skin and KNOW you need lotion but, you just don't want to take {or have} the time to apply it and let it dry? Often, I'm sure. Women are just too busy these days to take the time to apply lotion and then let it dry before getting dressed. And, who wants to put clothes on with wet lotion? It's sticky. It's just not a good combo. Introducing Vaseline® Spray & Go Moisturizer. {Before picture shows my arm with lotion. It's hard to … [Read more...]
