The other day I was talking to some French friends about the famous Italian dessert Tiramisu when I realised that none of them knew that Tiramisu means "cheer me up" in Italian. I think it's probably the most genius dessert name anyone as ever come up with and pretty much summarise the meaning of all desserts in general. Although I have never been that much of a fan of Tiramisu when I was younger I am starting to experiment more with recipes and I have learnt to enjoy this classic. As the weather is getting warmer and sunny afternoons are followed by long evenings on the porch chatting with friends I feel less and less motivated to spend time in the kitchen and cook elaborate meals. Simple Shrimp Salad
The weather is warming up now that Spring is officially here, and we have been celebrating by taking our meals outdoors. We have already fired up the grill three times in the past week. We like to mix it up though and have cooked burgers, chicken, and shrimp so far. Here is the recipe for the quick and easy Shrimp Salad that I whipped up for dinner one night. The best part is that you can cook the orzo salad ahead of time and then grill the shrimp right before serving.
