Halloween is right around the corner and my kids are so excited! They see the decorations in the stores and around our neighborhood and keep asking if its time yet. I love taking them out trick or treating! It's also such a good time and they come back with bags loaded full of goodies. Its fun to get candy, but I always appreciate the person who puts the practical treat in the kid's bags. While I take the kids out door to door, my husband stays home and hands out our goodies, that aren't candy! Here are our top Halloween candy alternatives! Easy Halloween Party Treats

Are you throwing a Halloween party and looking for some fun themed treats to serve?  These are some favorites that wowed the crowd at a recent party. Don’t be “scared”, they are all easy to make. Monster Mouths You’ll need apples and some slivered almonds.  Pending the size of your apples, cut in half or quarters.  Next, you’ll cut out a wedge from the outside of the apple to mimic an open mouth.  Be careful not to cut all the way through. Next just press the almond slivers into the open “mouth” like they are teeth.  That’s it!  Monster Mouths not only look great, but they are a healthy snack too. Movies Made Better with Mars Ice Cream {and a Giveaway}

Movie night is a regular occurrence at our house. Watching the movie Frozen is an even more regular occurrence but, that's another post. When we sit down to watch a movie we always have popcorn and snacks. In Florida it's SO hot! So, a movie, popcorn and ICE CREAM is a no-brainer. Combine ice cream with my favorite candy and...life changing moment! I'm talking about Twix, M&M candies, Snickers, and Dove chocolate combine with ice cream. When I brought all of these varieties home to my kids they squealed in delight. They were SO excited to give them a try. Each of them had a different favorite. Frozen Lemonade Icy Summer Treat

It's a given that lemonade is a refreshing drink of choice in the summertime, but having it frozen and almost slushy-like is the way to go. This frozen lemonade can be whipped up from start to finish in less than one minute. It's that quick! As long as you have some delicious freshly squeezed lemonade on hand in the fridge, you're good to go! As soon as the first day of summer rolled around, I spotted the freshly squeezed lemonade at my grocery store and had to pick some up for just this occasion.
