Blissfully Domestic Submission Guidelines
Our Mission:

Blissfully Domestic inspires women to improve home and family life, to develop boundaries, and to make purposeful choices. Through our authentic writing and portrayal of real women facing real life every day we encourage women to choose to create bliss in their family and home life.

We want to empower, inform and encourage our readers. Most of the Blissfully Domestic readers are young parents, involved in family, watching their budgets, hopeful about the future and are secure in the beauty of their imperfection.

General Focus:

Blissfully Domestic brings solid help for learning how to make home life blissful through our tips, tutorials, and real life advice from real women facing today’s challenges.

We are currently seeking step-by-step articles, original tutorials, unique crafts and DIY projects in all our topic categories. They should include a minimum of 2, original photos clearly demonstrating the project you are describing in your tutorial.

Our style is conversational, yet authoritative with a focus on authentic voices and real life tips and stories.

• Family Bliss: Marriage, Pets, Homeschool, Money, Pregnancy, Parenting

Our Readership:

Blissfully Domestic is for women who want to be true to themselves while choosing to create bliss in their homes and families. We believe in the amazing power and strength in our voices as women. Blissfully Domestic strives to encourage, connect, empower and bless all the writers and readers together.

Submitting to Blissfully Domestic:

As you are submitting please keep in mind who we are. Your article should be submitted via email to: submissions@blissfullydomestic.com .

Formatting: The subject line should contain the category you are submitting to. However, we retain the right to place the article in the category where it may fit best.

Unless otherwise specified, your article must be submitted in the body of the email. Attach at least 2 original photos demonstrating your how-to or DIY.

Submissions must also contain your contact information including: email, website url, name, and company name (if applicable). All submissions must contain a title, though we reserve the right to edit at the time of publication if necessary. Please include a short, 50 word bio with your submission as well.

Though you are welcome to write on any of our categories, please remember to keep your submission on subject of the category that you choose. Upcoming topics from our editorial calendar include:

A few technical things to remember:

Please fact check your submission prior to sending. You must also provide documentation to support information provided. In short, if your piece includes information that is not common knowledge or includes statistics, you must site your sources. Please also remember to properly quote any sources or provide attribution where needed.

We welcome all submissions that are original works. Payment is issued the month following publication of an accepted article. Only accepted articles that make it through our editorial process are published and paid – we do not pay on speculation. Writers are paid $25 per article upon acceptance (scheduling or publication) of the piece. Blissfully Domestic requires original work and full rights.
