It’s party season and there’s lots of reasons to celebrate. I love discovering something new to share with guests or take along to a gathering that is not predictable party fare.
This is one you should try– Bacon Blue Cheese Dip. Easy and different.
Here’s the bonus – although this dip is terrific with potato chips, it is also a winner with slices of apples, celery sticks, carrots, and grapes – I highly recommend you offer those choices to your guests.
Ingredients
- 8 slices of bacon – chopped
- 3 cloves of garlic – minced
- 2 8oz packages of cream cheese – softened
- 1/3 cup milk
- 3 green onions chopped
- 1/3 cup chopped walnuts – toasted
- 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cook bacon in a skillet on stove top until crispy. Drain pan and set bacon aside in a small bowl. Add garlic to same pan you cooked bacon in (for extra flavor) and cook over medium heat until soft – about 3 minutes. Using a hand mixer – blend cream cheese and milk in a medium size bowl. Once well blended, stir in garlic, bacon, onion and cheese; put mixture in an oven safe dish (ok to use one you will be serving out of) Bake for 15 – 20 minutes or until bubbly. Before serving, sprinkle walnuts on top. Serve warm.
Enjoy!
This bacon blue cheese dip sounds delicious but the recipe makes no mention of any type of blue cheese. Am I missing something?
