Festive Fourth of July Recipes

The Fourth of July is the perfect reason to bring together friends and family for a good old-fashioned backyard barbecue.  Celebrating our independence is a pretty good reason to gather ’round the picnic table, too!  Today I’m going to give you eleven recipes {or how-to’s} that are as delicious as they are beautiful.

Let’s start with a few beautiful appetizers.
Star Dip and Crackers
/1/ Patriotic Dip – Turn your ordinary dip dish into a festive masterpiece with just a few simple steps.

Watermelon Cantaloupe and Honeydew
/2/ Summer Fruit Wands – While your guests wait on their juicy cheeseburger to come off of the grill serve them these super fun Fruit Wands!

Nacho chips
/3/ Cheesy Star Chips – These are easy and cute! Add a dish of salsa for dipping to complete this appetizer.
Moving on to the main course, shall we?
from Tidy Mom
/4/ Aloha Burgers – When TidyMom posted this recipe a few days ago I knew it needed to be included in this round-up. These burgers will be perfect on the Fourth of July and beyond!

Pimento Sandwiches
/5/Pimento Sandwiches – Entertaining a guest {or two} that is vegetarian?? These Pimento Sandwiches that Caroline made are easy AND yummy!

homemade baked beans
/6/ Boston Baked Beans – Baked Beans are a must have on my picnic table all year long. Eat them warm or cold. Tasty either way!

Macaroni Salad
/7/ Macaroni Salad – I love that the creator of this recipe gives us a few optional additions that would compliment the Macaroni Salad.

And now for the part you’ve all been waiting for…DESSERTS!
Corn Fritters
/8/ Corn Fritters with Coconut Whipped Cream and Sweet Honey Bourbon Syrup – You’re gonna want to run to the grocery store NOW and get the ingredients for these beauties. This creator had me a Corn Fritter! Swoon!

Frozen-Chocolate-Covered-Bananas
/9/ Frozen Chocolate Covered Bananas – While you’re chowing down on those Corn Fritters you can give the kids a treat they’re sure to NOT turn down.

Patriotic Poke Cake
/10/ Patriotic Poke Cake – How long have Poke Cakes been around?? I feel like my grandma talked about making these when her kids were little. Something tells me, though, that her Poke Cakes weren’t this festive. This Patriotic Poke Cake is SO festive!

All-American
/11/ Cherry and Blueberry Pies in a Jar – NOTHING says All-American like a good ‘ol cherry pie! And in a jar? Stop the cuteness!
