This time of year makes me think of pumpkin spice candles and all things orange. I don’t know if it’s the temperature outside dropping or the fact that Christmas is right around the corner, but fall makes me giddy.
When it comes to decorating your mantel for fall, you don’t always have to think inside the box.
In fact, most of the time it’s when you think outside the box that you will create something beautiful.
Let’s take a look at a few different “outside the box” thinkers and how they created something gorgeous by being different.
Using a mirror on a mantel is a great way to make the space bright and open. Centsational Girl did a fabulous job of mixing luxury with simple when she created her fall mantel.
Simple with a statement is another way to do it. Not only does this Give Thanks mantel scream classy, it also screams thankful. And we all need to be reminded to give thanks, right?

Don’t have a mantel? Don’t need one! Love of Family and Home used a wall shelf to create the look of a fall mantel.
I don’t know about you…but this looks better than most mantels I’ve ever decorated.
White, white and more white is quite the theme these days. I must admit that after seeing this bright white mantel from Dreamy Whites, I want to repaint my entire home white.
I love the way that Less Than Perfect Life of Bliss used her mantel above her stove to create a place for fall accessories.
I would have never thought of decorating that space, but it’s another great alternative if you don’t have an actual mantle.
If you like more of a vintage look then check out this vibrant mantle . Simple to make and festive.
All of these mantels are great examples of things you can easily do to make a statement.
