Time For The Reveal With Valspar and Ace Hardware

It’s reveal time.  When I told you about the summer colors we are loving this year, I said I would tell you how we were going to get them in our lives in a big way and here it is:

Valspar Color Inspirations

That’s right – paint chips.  I recently received a “color wheel” full of inspiration in the mail from Valspar Paint  and Ace Hardware .

Have you ever felt overwhelmed in the paint section of a large home improvement store? Too much to look at, maybe not enough help or not the right help? Good news! Ace Hardware has teamed with Valspar to create a boutique style experience in their stores. Just like the curated, edited experience you have in a clothing, beauty or jewelry boutique – it’s now available at Ace in The Paint Studio.

The beautiful blue green aquas we loved were perfectly portrayed in Valspar Beach Breeze.  The berry pinks? Valspar Amelia.  Even better – a certain “almost” teen also found them beautiful and wanted to surround herself with these colors on bedroom walls.

A trip to  the Valspar section at our neighborhood Ace Hardware provided a brightly lit, well organized display of the on trend colors we were looking for.  Valspar has created an exclusive line of colors for Ace in every shade of the rainbow. The team there was so helpful and the shelves were stocked with everything we needed for a bedroom transformation. I love the smaller more boutique experience when shopping for paint or other DIY home improvement items that you get in an Ace Hardware store. I need to ask a lot of questions and they don’t mind at all.  Drawers held samples and there were preselected palettes for ideas to help match complementary colors. It felt like shopping for a great dress with accessories displayed or eye shadows that come in multi color packs.  Kind of makes you feel at home in a hardware store – finding beauty – like shopping in the cosmetics aisle – amongst all the tools and equipment!

Also with the Valspar Color Guarantee, if you don’t like the color once you get it home, you can have another on them! You can also purchase a pint sized color sample for just $4.99 to take it home and try out.

Paint is the easiest, cheapest way to change the look and feel of a room. It’s just the thing to refresh, or reinvigorate your style. Use the colors that are on trend, use the colors you love – either way it’s bringing beauty into your home.

Check out these photos from the finished project – this bedroom went from baby blue to WOW! with these great colors! (before shots on the left)

We used the Valspar Optimus paint – which is paint and primer all in one – perfect for those of us who want great “instant” results.  I had mentioned the paint color selection area being brightly lit – that meant a more “true” look at the colors we wanted to use – and once on  the walls our “almost” teen felt they were exactly what she wanted and expected.

Plus, in addition to Valspar Optimus and Valspar Aspire, you’ll find the Clark+Kensington line at Ace Hardware . Just ask the helpful team and they will make sure you have the right base to create what you want.

It’s time to rethink the paint shopping experience.  Go more “boutique” and you are going to love the results! Helpful IS Beautiful! Visit your neighborhood Ace Hardware to check out the Star Spangled Promotion happening July 2-7  – it offers Instant Savings of $5 off gallon purchases of Clark+Kensington and Valspar paint (limit 3 gallons per purchase per brand).

This is a sponsored post.  Valspar Paint and Ace Hardware teamed with Blissfully Domestic so we could tell you about their new shopping experience. They provided products and supplies for this project.  The thoughts and opinions are my own.
