Flan {Cinco de Mayo}

Cinco de Mayo is in just a few days! Let's celebrate! All throughout my schooling, I took Spanish. Every year all of us kids would look forward to Cinco de Mayo parties. There would be loads of tacos, burritos, virgin margaritas, fried ice cream, and of course, flan! Never before in my life did I like flan. I tried it once back when I was little and decided I didn't like it...never trying it again. I'm so glad, despite my preconceived notion that flan was gross, that I tried this recipe. I love the creamy texture and sweetness! If you've never had it before, or think that you don't like it like I did, give it a try. It's a good blend between a cheesecake and pudding. Vegetarian Taco Bites

Vegetarian Taco Bites A little Tex-Mex taste at your next get together.   This recipe will make about 4 dozen bites. What you’ll need:  A package of won ton wrappers or egg roll wrappers (if you use egg roll wrappers, cut each wrap into quarters) 2 8oz packages of cream cheese – softened 1 16 oz carton of sour cream 1 – 2 cloves of garlic 1 teaspoon oregano 2 - 3 tablespoons chili powder  assorted toppings: salsa, sour cream, chopped green onion  mini muffin trays** cooking spray [sc:adsense ] Mix ingredients together. Pollo Fundido Chicken Recipe

It's amazing how differently food is prepared from state to state. Being a born and bred Arizona native, I grew up eating Mexican inspired dishes. When I moved to the east coast a few months ago, I experienced quite a bit of culture shock.  No more 24 hour Mexican places, no more fresh salsa, my neighbors don't sell tamales, and nobody makes their own tortillas. I decided to take matters into my own hands and figured out how to make my favorite Mexican entree right at home. The Pollo Fundido. Filling 4 chicken breasts 1 Tbsp cumin 1 Tbsp chili powder 2 tsp. garlic powder 1 can diced green chilies 1/2 C italian salad dressing Put all ingredients in crockpot.
